Mal Bazar to Darjeeling

Woke up at 7 refueled our bikes and we left for Darjeeling, we took the tea garden route it was very steep but beautiful. En-route we visited Kalimpong as well as we had a lot of time.

We reached Darjeeling by 7 pm at night handed over the bikes and took our security money back, got a room at Orchid hotel, and enjoyed beer at Gaty’s cafe.

Next day we left for Kolkata after buying a lot of Darjeeling tea at Nathmulls, almost tried 20 cups of tea before buying the right ones.

Advice: they first give you the shitty tea, keep asking for more and you’ll get the real variety.

Trip was fun, but it was costly for me, I had a loss of camera charger, sunglasses, 10000 bucks.

I learnt a lot about the country and its people however, which was great. In any next trip I will be extra cautious 😉
